BTI post graduate society organized a grant writing seminar.

On Thursday October 23rd Prof. Joss Rose of the Plant Biology department at Cornell presented a seminar dubbed "the art of grant writing". While enjoying a pizza lunch with ~25 BTI postdoctoral fellows, Joss shared his view on the current funding possibilities. Apart from explaining the ritual at reviewer panels, he gave some useful tips that should prevent your first proposal from ending up in the "blue recycle bin".

The presentation was very well perceived and the PGS committee will try to lure Joss in to speak on this topic once more. For those whom could not take part in this professional development seminar series, please click here to download the slides of the seminar.
