Alyssa is a student at SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, NY. In the Brutnell lab, Alyssa’s summer internship focused on identifying, isolating, and cloning of Ds (Dissociation) elements using standard molecular techniques such as Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), gene mapping, gel electrophoresis and basic plant physiology under the guidence of post-doctoral associate Kazuhiro Kikuchi.
