Luis is currently a student at Tompkins County Community College. For the duration of his internship, Luis worked under the supervision of post-doc Ivan Maureira to perform a molecular phylogenetic study of the genus Teramnus. Luis learned DNA isolation, PCR, gel electrophoresis, sequencing as well as bioinformatics.
