IT Support Services at BTI

Technical assistance for office and lab computing needs:

• Hardware purchase consultation, setup and confirmation
• Software license pricing and vendor contact information
• Hardware and software issue troubleshooting
• Desktop security configurations
• Network configurations
• Data backup services
• Oracle electronic calendaring service (reserve BTI meeting rooms and equipment)
• BTI email listserv enrollment
• Institute server access

Public computing equipment and support:

• Loaner laptops and digital projector (reserve using Oracle)
• Public computer stations (pcs, macs, scanners and a poster printer)
• On-site presentation equipment available in 3 meeting rooms at BTI

Policies governing computer use and electronic communications

All members of the BTI community must adhere to BTI’s Computer Security Policy and Electronic Communications Policy as well as related policies for Cornell University.
