Hands-on experience in plant research laboratories, scientific seminars by distinguished lecturers, and the tools to take you to the next step in your academic or professional career are all part of the summer education outreach programs at BTI. Join us this summer on one of the country’s most beautiful Ivy League campuses and take a peek at the world of plant science.
High school science teachers
BTI is offering two different one-week workshops, the Bioenergy and Bioproducts Education Program (BBEP) from July 15th to July 19th, and the Curriculum Development Program (CDP) from July 29th to August 2nd. These workshops will focus on methods to convert plant-based materials into sustainable energy, and recent advances in plant biology through standards-based lesson plans. Both BBEP and CDP provide professional development hours, classroom materials, and follow-up support throughout the school year. Undergraduate students
Are you interested in biology, agriculture, computer science or pursuing a career in science? BTI invites undergraduates from across the country to apply for one of our 6-10 week summer internship programs. As an intern, you will experience cutting-edge research among internationally recognized plant scientists and work closely with mentors to complete real research projects. This is a great opportunity to connect with other people in the field and gain a stepping-stone to a future career in science. Applications and more information are available here: http://bti.cornell.edu/education-and-outreach/internships/
