Inish M. G. O'Doherty, Graduate Student Inish is a member of the Training Program in Chemical Biology (TPCB) and is an O'Reilly foundation scholar. He received his undergraduate B.Sc in chemistry in 2007 from University College Dublin, Ireland. Currently he is investigating the design, synthesis and application of small molecule probes for receptor identification in model systems, including human cell culture and C.elegans. When he is not in the lab crushing science, Inish enjoys taking part in triathlons, doing crossfit, cooking and hanging out with friends. |

Parag Mahanti, Graduate Student Chemistry and Chemical Biology.
Parag is working on the identification of endogenous ligands of the nuclear hormone receptor DAF-12 and elucidation of the steroid biosynthetic pathway in C. elegans. He completed his BSc. Hons. degree in Chemistry from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, India in 2006 and MSc. In Organic Chemistry from University of Delhi, India in 2008. When he is not playing with the worms Parag likes to play the guitar, write his blog, cook and listen to Pink Floyd.

Yevgeniy Izrayelit, Graduate Student Chemistry and Chemical Biology.
Vassar College, B.A. Biochemistry, 2006. Yevgeniy is interested in exploring aging relevant pathways in the model organism C. elegans using 2D NMR-based metabolomics. Yevgeniy is also involved with campus governance as part of the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly, and enjoys telling jokes/stories that you might have heard before (from him).

Carolyn Hale, Graduate Student Biochemistry, Molecular, and Cell Biology (BMCB). Graduated from St. John Fisher College in 2009 with B.S. in Biology and B.S. in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry. As a member of the Nicholson lab and Schroeder Lab, Carolyn is synthesizing small molecular mimics of a motif of the amyloid precursor protein (APP) in order to investigate the molecular signaling in the proteolytic processing of APP and its implications for Alzheimer's Disease. Check out the Nicholson Lab
